The purpose of WSDL bindings

The WS-Description WG at W3C discovered recently that it may be unclear what WSDL bindings are meant for and what the boundary between bindings and interfaces is. I wrote up my take, if you're interested see my email message.

My summary is: the boundary is in the application - information important
for the application goes into interfaces, implementation details go into
bindings.
